Welcome to Katy Youth Basketball, an organization celebrating our 25th year as Katy's biggest and best youth basketball league!

Katy Youth Basketball is a registered non-profit organization devoted to providing a basketball program open to all students residing within the Katy ISD boundaries who are 6 years of age but not older than 13 years of age by September 1, 2010.

Signups for our league are held in September, with practice beginning after Thanksgiving, and league play occurring in January and February and concluding with a post-season tournament week and awards ceremony held in March.

3 on 3 Fall Basketball League

Katy Youth Basketball is launching a new 3-on-3 Fundamental Basketball League for boys and girls starting this fall. Teams are forming now for the inaugural season of this new league. Boys and girls aged 6-13 zoned to the Katy Independent School District are invited to participate.

Teams will consist of six players each and are bracketed according to age. Players are guaranteed 20 minutes of playing time each game. Players are welcome to form their own teams with friends and neighbors or can sign up individually and be assigned to a team. Games will be played on Sunday afternoon beginning September 26 and end October 24.

The cost is $85 per player and players will receive a reversible jersey. Teams will not need to get a sponsor to participate. Practices will begin Sept 20th and will take place once a week at Katy Independent School District schools.

Coaches Needed

KYB relies on the participation and enthusiasm of over 500 parent coaches and on the generosity of our volunteers.

Coaching youth basketball is a very rewarding experience and we encourage anyone who enjoys working with young people to apply. We are always looking for experienced coaches, but we also have resources to help train a newcomer. If you are interested in coaching in our upcoming season, please print a copy of the Coaching Application Form and bring it to one of the two Registrations (Saturday, September 25th and Saturday. October 2nd).
